They are very affectionate dogs and can’t get close enough to people.  Within the confines of his home the cavalier can be an excellent watchdog in the sense that he will sound the alarm if anyone’s at the door or if stangers are knocking around.Historically Cavaliers have been a close companion to man.  Their unique personalities are sensitive and loving in every way and best developed by constant human contact. This does not mean that they don’t like being left alone and are indeed well mannered and trustworthy when left alone.

The Cavalier loves to please and as a result is highly trainable and are totally dependant on their human pack leader for this. Setting boundaries is important when trainning, the sooner he knows the rules that have to be obeyed the better and the easier it will become for you to enjoy him as a companion.  Above all and in following the above you will receive years of love, and companionship from your Cavalier “ENJOY”!!
